Cookie Policy
A short, honest account of the cookies on this website — there are very few of them.
Last updated: 20 October 2026
This policy explains how the Glassvancouver website uses cookies and similar technologies, in line with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and UK data protection law.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. Similar technologies, such as your browser’s local storage, work in a comparable way. They can be essential for a site to function, or they can be used for things like analytics and advertising.
Cookies we use
We keep things deliberately simple. This website uses only strictly necessary cookies and storage — the kind that do not require consent because the site cannot work properly without them.
- gv_cookie_consent (cookie and local storage) — remembers your choice in our cookie notice so it is not shown on every page. Kept for 180 days.
- PHPSESSID (session cookie) — set only when you submit the enquiry form, to protect it against repeated or automated submissions. Deleted when you close your browser.
We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or third-party analytics.
Third-party services
Our typefaces are delivered by Google Fonts. When a page loads, your browser requests the font files from Google’s servers, which means your IP address is shared with Google for that purpose. Google states that it does not set cookies for Google Fonts requests. You can read more in Google’s Privacy Policy.
Your choices
You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie Settings link in the footer of every page. You can also control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect how parts of the site work, such as the enquiry form.
If we add new cookies
If we ever introduce optional cookies, such as analytics, we will update this policy and ask for your consent before setting them.
